Theory Of Operation

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module uses the steering wheel angle signal from the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) to compare it with other vehicle inputs such as wheel speed, longitudinal, lateral and acceleration to determine the steering wheel angle offsets. The ABS Module uses these inputs to calculate braking assist as needed.
