Sensor, Wheel Speed, Rear: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  2. Disconnect vehicle wiring harness from wheel speed sensor connector.
  3. Remove wheel speed sensor from routing clips along underbody of vehicle.
  4. Remove wheel speed sensor from routing clips along brake flex hose.
  5. Remove wheel speed sensor routing clip from rear axle.
    CAUTION:

    Prior to removal, clean area around sensor head to help prevent contaminants from entering bearing when sensor head is removed.

  6. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor head mounting bolt (2).
  7. Remove the wheel speed sensor (1) from the spindle.
