Pads, Brake, Rear: Installation

  1. Install the NEW  brake pad clips (3).
  2. Install the inboard brake pad (1) and the outboard brake pad (2) to the caliper adapter bracket.

  3. Position the brake caliper to the brake caliper adapter bracket.
  4. Position the wire harness routing bracket to the caliper.
  5. Install the two disc brake caliper guide pin bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Connect the brake pad wear sensor wire harness connector (2) and secure the routing clip.

  7. Secure the brake pad wear sensor wire harness in the wire harness routing clip (1).
  8. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Remove the Electric Park Brake (EPB) from maintenance mode.
  11. Pump the brake pedal several times before moving the vehicle to set the pads to the brake rotor.
  12. Check and adjust the brake fluid level in the reservoir as necessary.
  13. Road test the vehicle and make several stops to wear off any foreign material on the brakes and to seat the brake pads.
