Pads, Brake, Rear: Installation
- Install the NEW brake pad clips (3).
- Install the inboard brake pad (1) and the outboard brake pad (2) to the caliper adapter bracket.
- Position the brake caliper to the brake caliper adapter bracket.
- Position the wire harness routing bracket to the caliper.
- Install the two disc brake caliper guide pin bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the brake pad wear sensor wire harness connector (2) and secure the routing clip.
- Secure the brake pad wear sensor wire harness in the wire harness routing clip (1).
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the Electric Park Brake (EPB) from maintenance mode.
- Pump the brake pedal several times before moving the vehicle to set the pads to the brake rotor.
- Check and adjust the brake fluid level in the reservoir as necessary.
- Road test the vehicle and make several stops to wear off any foreign material on the brakes and to seat the brake pads.
