Sensor, Brake Pedal: Removal

  1. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the lower steering column shroud. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, UPPER, REMOVAL .

    1 - Brake Pedal Position Sensor Fastener
    2 - Wire Harness Connector
  3. Disconnect the brake pedal position sensor wire harness connector.
  4. Swing the arm up and remove the brake pedal position sensor fastener.
  5. Pull the brake pedal position sensor straight away from the keyed hole to remove it from the bracket.
  6. Remove the brake pedal position sensor from the vehicle.
