Switch, Lock: Operation
The BCM receives the following signals:
- Lock/unlock signals from the RKE antenna which is connected to pins 15 (signal) and 30 (ground) at connector F.
- Lock/unlock signals from the key pawl in driver-side door lock geared motor (pin 4), at pin 53 of connector F.
- The negative signal from the locking/unlocking button, located in control panel (pin 11), at pin 1 of connector H.
- The negative signal from the load compartment door locking/unlocking button located in the control panel on front door (pin 4) at pin 27 of connector F.
The signalling/deterrence LED on the central lock switch (pin 12) is activated by a positive signal from pin 23 of connector H of the BCM; pin 4 of central lock switch is connected to the central dashboard ground C022 (connector A).
The BCM (through fuse F38 and the built in relay switches) controls the motors for the driver and passenger side for the front door locks, those for the right sliding side door and that for rear right swing door.
- The common power supply is sent to the motors of all doors (pin 7) from pin 32 of connector E.
- The front door locking/unlocking motors are operated from pin 18 of connector E (pin 6).
- Pin 14 of connector E operates the locking/unlocking motors for the right sliding side door and the rear right swing door (pin 6).
When the doors are opened, pins 4 of the front doors lock/unlock motors send a negative signal to switch on the front roof light. In the same way, the opening of the right sliding side door and the rear right swing door lock/unlock motor (pin 4) switches on the rear/load compartment roof lights.
In addition, at pin 25 of connector D the BCM receives the signal concerning the fuel cutoff switch (negative signal), and at pin 43 of connector F it receives the negative pressure signal of the button for automatic activation in danger conditions.
The BCM sends the instrument panel all the information useful for the management of the "doors open" and "general failure" warning lights (if the fuel cutoff activates) and the buzzer in the instrument panel via the CAN-IHS through pins 11 and 26 of connector H.
