Motor, Door Lock: Operation
The power lock motors are controlled by outputs received from the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM acts upon programming as well as hard-wired lock or unlock inputs received from the driver side power lock switch, hard-wired unlock inputs received from the sliding door release switch, the cargo door release switch or the Radio Frequency (RF) inputs received from the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters.
A positive and negative battery connection to the two lock motor terminals will cause the motor to move in one direction, locking or unlocking the latch. Reversing the current will cause the motor to move in the opposite direction.
