Blade, Wiper: Description
This vehicle is equipped with frameless (also known as flat or beam) wiper blades. Each wiper blade (1) is secured by an integral latching pivot block (4) to the receptacle formation on the tip of each wiper arm (3), and rests on the glass near the base of the windshield when the wipers are not in operation. The wiper blade consists of the following components:
- Element - The wiper element or squeegee is the resilient rubber member of the wiper blade that contacts the glass.
- Flexor - The flexor is an integrated component in the frameless wiper blade running along the entire length of the wiper element.
The wiper blades for this vehicle are unequal length and are not interchangeable. The passenger side wiper blades are 55.00 centimeters (21.65 inches) long. The driver side wiper blades are 65.00 centimeters (25.59 inches) long. They have non-replaceable rubber elements (squeegees). The wiper blades cannot be adjusted or repaired. If ineffective, worn, or damaged the entire wiper blade unit must be replaced.
