Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 

1. With the scan tool, erase the Display Screen Module (DSM) DTCs.
2. Start the engine and allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
3. If the vehicle has been in the hot sunlight or extreme cold, move the vehicle indoors and open the doors to allow the inside temperature to stabilize.
4. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

   Did the DTC return?

   Yes 

   • Replace the Display Screen Module (DSM) in accordance with the Service information. Refer to MODULE, DISPLAY SCREEN (DSM), REMOVAL .

   No 

   • Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
