Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) BUS DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
  Are any BCM CAN bus DTCs set?
  
  Yes
  - Repair BCM CAN bus DTCs in accordance with the Service Information. If DTC U0002 is set, perform that diagnostic first. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK FOR POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read PCM DTCs.
  Are any PCM DTCs set?
  
  Yes
  - Repair PCM DTCs. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX (5.7L) or DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX (6.4L) .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK FOR OTHER TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read TCM DTCs and record on the repair order.
  Are any other TCM DTCs set?
  
  Yes
  - Repair other TCM DTC(s). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the TCM connector and all related in-line connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or pushed out terminals. Pay particular attention to the power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace and program the TCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL (TCM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
