Diagnostic Test

PROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE 

1. Verify the PCM is at the latest calibration (flash level).
   NOTE:

   An intermittent loss of power to the PCM without performing an ETC Relearn procedure may cause this DTC to set.

2. If a PCM has later calibration available, program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information. and follow the PCM/ECM PROGRAMMING procedure. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
3. Start the engine.
4. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
5. Operate the accelerator pedal. (do not exceed 3500 rpm).
6. With a scan tool, read DTCs.
   NOTE:

   Diagnose any other DTCs that may have set with the P060D.

   Does this DTC reset by itself?

   Yes 

   • Replace and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Test Complete.
