NOTE:

If clutch discs are being replaced, soak the discs in 8HP transmission fluid before reassembly.

Replace the clutch C seals (2).
Install clutch C hub (1) onto the clutch C shaft (3).

Install the clutch C backing plate (1) onto the clutch hub (2).

Install six clutch C friction and steel clutch plates (1) onto the clutch hub (2).

Place the clutch C (2) in a suitable press.
Using the (special tool #8680A, Installer, Damper) (1) compress clutch C enough to install the snap ring (3).
Install the snap ring (3).
Use the (special tool #8901A, Pressing Tool) and the (special tool #10429, Gauge, Force) to measure the clutch C clearance.
