Pump, Engine Oil: Installation

- Gently push the oil pump (1) upwards and press firmly against the block. finger tighten all of the retaining bolts (2) to ensure that the pump is fixed in it's position.
- Using the sequence shown, tighten the oil pump retaining bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, INSTALLATION .
- Install the oil pump pickup tube and oil pan. Refer to PAN, OIL, INSTALLATION .
