CROSSMEMBER, Transmission: Installation

  1. Install the transmission crossmember (1) and install the crossmember bolts (2).
  2. Tighten the transmission crossmember to frame bolts (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Remove the lifting device.
  4. Install the rear transmission crossmember to transmission mount bolts (3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS (3.6L) , TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS (5.7L) , TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS (6.2L) or TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS (6.4L) .
  5. Position the transmission crossmember reinforcement brackets.
  6. Install the transmission crossmember reinforcement bracket bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install the transmission skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, TRANSMISSION, INSTALLATION  .
