Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Make sure that one of the front doors are open when performing the diagnostic test.
2. Turn the ignition on.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on repair order.
4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
5. Turn the Radio on.
6. With the scan tool, read Radio DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test Complete. The condition(s) that originally set this DTC are no longer present. Inspect the antenna cable connections between the Radio and the GPS antenna.
CHECK THE GPS ANTENNA CABLE
1. Disconnect the GPS Antenna cable at the GPS Antenna.
2. Connect the appropriate Radio Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-1, Adapter) or (special tool #9977-6-3, Adapter) to the Antenna cable at the back of the Radio.
3. Connect the appropriate Radio Diagnostic Tool (special tool #9977-6-4, Jumper) or (special tool #9977-6-2, Jumper) to the Antenna cable at the Antenna base.
4. Measure the Resistance across the terminals on the tool.
  Is the resistance below 47.5 Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Use the (special tool #9977-6, Kit, Radio Antenna Diagnostic) to locate the short. Repair or replace the GPS Antenna cable as necessary.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the Radio in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
