Theory Of Operation

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module is receiving a message from the Body Control Module (BCM) that it is in "Logistic Mode". If there is less than 180 km (112 miles) on the vehicle's odometer, the BCM can switch to Logistic Mode automatically and only allowing in the scan tool to switch back to Standard Power (Customer) Mode. In the scan tool, the BCM displays whether or not the vehicle is in Logistic Mode or in Standard Power (Customer) Mode and broadcast's this message over the Controller Area Network (CAN) to the ABS Module. By using the scan tool, the BCM can be activated to the Standard Power (Customer) Mode by performing the "Exit Logistic Mode" routine.
