Negative Battery

  1. Cycle the ignition to the Off position. Be certain that all electrical accessories are turned off.
  2. Position the passenger front seat forward.

  3. Remove the battery cover (1).

    NOTE:

    Shown with seat removed for clarity.

  4. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
  5. Remove the retainer (3) securing the negative battery cable (1) to the body (2).
  6. Remove the negative battery cable.
