Glove Box, Instrument Panel: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the right instrument panel end cap (Refer to END CAP, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL ).
  3. Remove the right instrument panel applique bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, APPLIQUE, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the glove box door. Refer to DOOR, GLOVE BOX, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the fasteners (1) from the glove box housing (2).
  6. By hand, release the glove box housing from the instrument panel.
  7. If equipped, disconnect the wire harness connectors from the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2) (4).
  8. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (3) and remove the glove box housing from the vehicle.
  9. If necessary, remove the TBM2 from the glove box housing. Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL .
