Bezel, Instrument Panel, Center: Removal
CAUTION:
DO NOT pry against the face of the radio, or passenger side/ignition switch bezel applique surfaces. Only pry on the OUTER perimeter of the bezel.
- Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL, WARNING .
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the instrument panel cluster. Refer to CLUSTER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL
.NOTE:
On Pursuit models it is not necessary to completely remove the right instrument panel trim panel, jut release the trim panel and position it aside.
- Remove the left and right instrument panel trim panels. Refer to PANEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM, CENTER, REMOVAL .
- Remove the fasteners (1) from the center bezel (2).NOTE:
Use caution when removing the center bezel, some parts are very fragile.
- Using a trim stick or equivalent, work around the perimeter of the center bezel (1) and separate the bezel from the instrument panel (2).
- Disconnect the wire harness connectors and remove the center bezel (1).
