Lamp, Spot: Removal: Lamp
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Raise the spot lamp head (1) from the stowed to the operating position.
- Remove the fastener (5) and wedge insert (6) that secure the spot lamp handle (7) to the spot lamp head tube and shaft.
- Remove the clip (4) that secures the spot lamp handle wire to the spot lamp guide tube.
- Partially remove the trim (8) from the inside of the A-pillar. Refer to PANEL, A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVAL .
- Remove the handle from the tube and shaft, then set it on the instrument panel.
- Reach behind the A-pillar trim to access and disconnect the handle wire connector (3) from the overhead wire harness connector (2).
- Disengage the handle wire from the A-pillar trim and set the handle and A-pillar trim aside.
- From the outside of the vehicle, remove the spot lamp head, tube and shaft unit (1) from the bracket and guide tube unit (2) on the outer A-pillar (3) and set the spot lamp aside.
- Remove the fasteners (2) that secure the spot lamp bracket and guide tube unit (1) to the outside of the A-pillar (5).
- Remove the bracket and guide tube unit and the gasket (3) from the A-pillar.
