Lamp, License Plate: Removal
NOTE:
If License lamps burn out the lamp assembly will have to be replaced, they are L.E.D. and bulbs are non replaceable.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Reach under the liftgate handle and light bar unit to access lamp, using a small blade screwdriver depress the latch tab (1) on the outboard side of the license plate lamp lens toward the lens (2).
- Pull the outboard side of the lens downward far enough to disengage the two tabs on the inboard side of the lens from the lamp housing.
- Disconnect wire harness connector (1).
- Remove the lamp from under the handle and light bar.
