Lamp, Center High Mounted Stop: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the spoiler and Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) from the liftgate flip-up glass as a unit. Refer to SPOILER, REMOVAL .

  3. Reach through the opening on the liftgate side of the spoiler to access and disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the connector receptacle on the back of the CHMSL (1).
  4. Remove the screws (2) that secure the CHMSL (1) to the spoiler.
  5. Remove the CHMSL (1) from the spoiler.
