Removal - Front Lamp Unit

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Access the front lamp assembly fasteners by first removing the upper (2) and lower (3) lamp assembly covers. For the upper lamp assembly cover, remove the upper fasteners (1) and lift the cover upward to remove it from the vehicle.
  3. For the lower lamp assembly cover, remove the lower fastener (1) and lift the cover upward to gain access to the retaining tab, located beneath the cover. Using a trim stick, or equivalent, press and release the retaining tab and remove the cover from the vehicle. Failure to release the tab may result in damage to the lower lamp assembly cover.

  4. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the front lamp assembly.
  5. Pull the front lamp assembly outward and disconnect the wire harness connector.
  6. Remove the front lamp assembly from the vehicle.
