Lamp, Mirror: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glass from the mirror assembly. Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, GLASS, REMOVAL .
  3. From the inside of the mirror housing, remove the fasteners (1) that secure the lamp lens and bulb assembly.

  4. Push lightly from the inside of the mirror assembly on the back of the lamp (1) to help release it from the mirror housing.

  5. Twist the bulb socket (1) counter clockwise to remove it from the mirror lamp assembly.

  6. If the signal bulb (1) is defective, it can be removed by popping the tab and releasing the bulb from its socket.
