Solenoid, Evaporative Emissions Purge: Removal: 6.4L

The EVAP canister purge solenoid is located in the engine compartment attached to a bracket mounted on the rear of the left cylinder head.

  1. Remove engine cover.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the vapor line from the EVAP purge solenoid.
  4. Disconnect the vacuum line to the throttle body.
  5. Disconnect the wire harness connector at the purge solenoid.
  6. Remove solenoid from the mounting bracket.
