Insulator, Engine Mount, Left: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the upper intake manifold and insulator. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the bolts (1) and the engine mount heat shield from both the left and right engine mounts.
- Remove both the left and right engine mount nuts (1).multimedia:A supplement to the article is available.
- Remove the closeout panels and place the engine support fixture as shown on the right side of the inner body structure (1).
- Remove the closeout panels and place the engine support fixture as shown on the left side of the inner body structure (1).
- Install the Engine Support Fixture (1) (special tool #8534C, Fixture, Driveline Support) and carefully lift the engine only high enough to gain enough clearance to remove the mount.
- Remove the two bolts (1) from the left engine mount isolator.
- Remove the left engine mount isolator from the vehicle.
- If required, remove the four bolts from the left engine mount bracket and remove the bracket from the vehicle.
