Muffler, Exhaust: Removal: 5.7L

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Support the exhaust system using a suitable jack.
Saturate the nuts with Mopar® Rust Inhibitor. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
Remove the left exhaust resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .

Remove the left rear exhaust isolator (1).

Remove the rear exhaust isolator (1).

Remove the ground strap (2).
Remove the rear exhaust isolators (1).

Remove the two exhaust isolators (1) from the muffler.

NOTE:
Muffler removal is a two-man operation.
Remove the four spring nuts (1) and the muffler/tailpipe (2) assembly from vehicle.
