Front Half Shaft: Installation
- Using axle seal protector (special tool #10270, Protector, Half Shaft, Drive) (1), install halfshafts in the axle. Verify halfshaft has engaged.NOTE:
Use care when removing seal protector to prevent damaging the seal.
- Install NEW coated washer on the outer C/V joint shaft.
- Install halfshaft (1) through the hub/bearing (2).
- Install shock clevis on lower control arm and tighten nut to the proper specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Install upper control arm on knuckle and tighten ball joint nut to the proper specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Install tie rod end (1) on knuckle and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install stabilizer link (7, 5) on lower control arm and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install caliper on caliper adapter. Refer to CALIPER, DISC BRAKE, INSTALLATION

- Install wheel speed sensor (1) on the hub/bearing (3).NOTE:
Always install a NEW hub nut. The original hub nut is one-time use only and should be discarded when removed.
- Install a NEW halfshaft hub/bearing nut and tighten to. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the wheel and tire assemblies.CAUTION:
Before moving vehicle, pump brake pedal several times to ensure vehicle has a firm brake pedal to adequately stop vehicle.
- Pump brake pedal until caliper pistons and brake pads are seated and a firm brake pedal is obtained.
