Rotor, Brake: Removal

NOTE:

Front rotor shown in illustration, rear rotor is similar.

  1. Remove the brake caliper. Refer to CALIPER, DISC BRAKE, REMOVAL .
    NOTE:

    It is not necessary to remove the brake hose from the caliper, for this procedure.

  2. If equipped, remove and discard the o-ring (2) securing the disc brake rotor (1) on the hub.
  3. Remove the disc brake rotor (1) from hub/bearing.
