Cables, Battery: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the Off position. Be certain that all electrical accessories are turned off.
  2. Remove the battery access cover.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery terminals.
  4. If required, remove the nut (3) that secures the cable to the clamp (1).
  5. Remove the bolt (2) that secures the cable to the body.
  6. Remove the battery cable from the vehicle.
