Bezel, Shifter: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

Using a trim stick or equivalent, lift up the shift knob boot and disconnect the shifter electrical connector (1).
Remove the shifter knob screw (2) and remove the knob.

NOTE:
Pull Brake Transmission Solenoid Interlock (BTSI) override disk and shift the shifter into Neutral. May be necessary to partially remove shifter bezel to gain access to the BTSI override disk.
Using trim stick or equivalent (1), release the clip fasteners and separate the console bezel (2) from the console (3).

Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) and remove the shifter bezel.
