Manifold, Intake: Removal: Lower

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
  2. Remove the cowl extension silencer. Refer to SILENCER, COWL EXTENSION, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the insulator (1) from the right cylinder head cover.

  5. Disconnect the fuel supply hose (1) from the fuel rail inlet. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - QUICK-CONNECT FITTINGS .

  6. Disconnect the fuel injector wire harness connectors (1) and position the wire harness (2) aside.
  7. Disconnect the wire harness trough from the rear of the cylinder heads and position the wire harness aside.
  8. Disconnect the engine harness from the rear of the lower intake manifold.

  9. Remove the bolts (1), then lift the fuel rail and fuel injectors from the lower intake manifold.

  10. Using the sequence shown in illustration, remove the bolts and lower intake manifold.

  11. Inspect and reuse the six lower intake manifold to cylinder head gaskets if no issue are found.
