Panel, Trim: Installation

CAUTION:

Trim panel attachment clips should be discarded and replaced with new ones anytime the trim is removed.

  1. Install new trim panel attachment clips and verify they are properly installed.
  2. Using hand pressure, press firmly and evenly on the upper trim panel (2) over each of the fastener locations until the fasteners are fully engaged in the holes on the inside of the liftgate.

  3. Install new trim panel attachment clips and verify they are properly installed.
  4. Connect the lighting connector.
  5. Position the top of the liftgate trim (1) onto the liftgate and seat the upper retaining clips (2) fully.
  6. Using hand pressure, press firmly and evenly on the trim panel (1) over each of the six lower retaining clip locations (3) until the clips are seated fully in the holes on the inside of the liftgate.

  7. Install the pull cups (1) and seat fully.
  8. Connect the battery negative cable.
