Seal, Input Shaft: Installation: Rear

  1. Use (special tool #10174, Installer, Seal, Rear Output) Rear Output Seal Installer (1) to install the rear input shaft seal into the rear transfer case half (2).

  2. Install the rear output flange (1).

  3. Install the outer rear output shaft seal (1).

  4. Install the rear output flange washer (1).
  5. Install the rear output flange nut.

  6. Install (special tool #6958, Wrench, Spanner) Spanner Wrench (1) onto the rear output flange (2) and tighten the rear output flange nut to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS 
  7. Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to INSTALLATION .
