Cover, Steering Column Opening: Installation

1. Position the steering column opening cover (3) near the instrument panel and connect the wire harness connectors.
2. Install the parking brake release cable to the parking brake handle, if equipped.
3. Install the steering column opening cover onto the instrument panel and hand tap to engage the retaining clips.
4. Install the two screws (1) and tighten securely.

5. Position the hood release handle (4) onto the steering column opening cover and slide rearward until the retaining tab (2) snaps into place.
6. Install the instrument panel end cap. Refer to CAP, INSTRUMENT PANEL END, INSTALLATION .
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
