  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Turn the Radio and VES system on.
    3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes

      • Go To  2

      No

      • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. CHECK THE (X911) AND (X912) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the EDM harness connectors.
    3. Disconnect the VES2 module connector.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. Check for voltage present on the (X911) and (X912) circuits.

      Is there any voltage present?

      Yes

      • Repair the circuit with the short to voltage.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

      No

      • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE (X911) AND (X912) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND IN THE HARNESS
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Measure the resistance between ground and the (X911) and (X912) circuits.

Is the resistance below 10K Ohms?

      Yes

      • Repair the circuit with the short to ground.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

      No

      • Go To  4
  4. CHECK THE (X911) AND (X912) CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TOGETHER
    1. Measure the resistance between the (X911) and (X912) circuits.

Is the resistance below 10K Ohms?

      Yes

      • Repair the circuits that are shorted together.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

      No

      • Go To  5
  5. CHECK THE (X911) AND (X912) CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
    1. Measure the resistance of the (X911) and (X912) circuit between the VES2 Module harness connectors and the EDM harness connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?

      Yes

      No

  6. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Turn the Radio and VES system on.
