Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Dodge Durango. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The rear mode and temperature blend doors are controlled by two wire actuators. The door actuator motor will either rotate clockwise or counter clockwise by reversing the polarity of the circuits depending on the command from the controller. The A/C Heater Control monitors the circuits for proper operation and will set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) if a fault is detected. For further information. Refer to ACTUATOR, BLEND DOOR, OPERATION .
