Diagnostic Test

CHECK THE PCM FOR FLASH UPDATES OR SERVICE BULLETINS

NOTE:

Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.

Turn the ignition on.
With a scan tool, read and record freeze frame data on the repair order.
NOTE:
This information is important and will be necessary for future reference.
Perform any Service Bulletins or flash updates that may apply for the PCM or TCM.
Were there any Service Bulletins or flash updates that repaired the issue?

Yes
- Repair is complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Perform the COMMUNICATION PRE-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. Refer to COMMUNICATION PRE-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
  NOTE:
  Treat this DTC as an IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNAL DTC when performing the COMMUNICATION PRE-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
