Diagnostic Test

CHECK THE CD
1. Replace the problem CD with a CD formatted for the proper region.
2. Turn the Radio and CD player on.
3. With the scan tool, read the External Disc Module (EDM) DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display active: B1424-00-IMPROPER CD/DVD - WRONG REGION?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test Complete.
CHECK THE EXTERNAL DISC MODULE
1. With the scan tool, verify the External Disc Module (EDM) is programmed for the proper region.
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display active: B1424-00-IMPROPER CD/DVD - WRONG REGION?
  
  Yes
  - Eject the inoperative CD and replace the External Disc Module (EDM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to PLAYER, DVD, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test Complete.
