Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- Wait at least 5 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension. If no problems are found, test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE AUTO HIGH BEAM MODULE (AHBM) CAMERA VIEW
- Turn the ignition off.
- Inspect the windshield and AHBM Camera Lens for an obstruction, such as stickers or objects on the windshield that are in front of the AHBM Camera. Remove if needed.
- Clean the inside and outside of windshield with glass cleaner.
- With the scan tool, clear the DTC.
- Drive the vehicle above 5 km/h (3 mph) for greater than 80 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the BCM DTCs.
Does the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Auto High Beam Module (AHBM) Camera in accordance with the service information. Refer to MIRROR, REARVIEW, REMOVAL .
No
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
