3.6L W/Ess

  1. Remove the left engine mount. Refer to INSULATOR, ENGINE MOUNT, LEFT, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the front suspension skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT SUSPENSION, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the front skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the starter solenoid heat shield.

  5. Disconnect the starter solenoid electrical connector (2) from the starter solenoid terminal.
  6. Remove the battery cable nuts (3) and battery cable from the solenoid stud (1).

  7. Remove the two starter mounting bolts (1).
  8. Remove the starter from the vehicle.
