Decklid Switch

DECK LID





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) unit (1) from the deck lid. Center Mounted Brake Lamp - Removal.
3. Disengage the deck lid release switch connector (3) and pigtail wire harness from the retention features on the back of the CHMSL housing.
4. Firmly grasp the tabs of the deck lid release switch mounting flange (2) on the back of the CHMSL housing and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
5. Pull the switch straight out from the clearance hole through the back of the CHMSL housing.
