LOWER BALL JOINT

If the travel exceeds 0.5 mm (0.020 in.), replace the lower ball joint.

UPPER BALL JOINT

If the travel exceeds 0.5 mm (0.020 in.), replace the upper control arm since the upper ball joint is integral to the arm.
