Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Removal

3.7L/4.7L ENGINE






CAUTION: Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to the free arm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Rotate the belt tensioner (6) until it contacts the stop.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt (2), then slowly rotate the tensioner (6) into the free arm position.
