DESCRIPTION

Vehicles equipped with the optional heated second row seat system have four, carbon fiber heated second row seat elements. One element for each second row seat back and seat cushion. The elements are integral to the second row seat cushion and seat back foam and cannot be removed, once installed at the factory.

Each of the heated second row seat elements consists of multiple heating circuits operating in parallel throughout the carbon fiber element. The heated second row seat elements are permanently secured to the seat foam assembly. If a malfunction occurs in one or more of the individual carbon fiber circuits, the others will continue to provide heat.

The heated second row seat elements cannot be repaired. If found to be damaged or inoperative, a new heating element assembly must be installed.
