Illumination And Dimming

The cluster receives dimming information from the BCM via the PCI bus. The cluster responds by dimming the backlighting and LCD using an internally generated PWM signal to the illumination bulbs. The cluster outputs the same PWM signal to the Gauge Cluster illumination bulbs. The MIC and Gauge Cluster illumination bulbs are always grounded. The 5 (five) MIC, 4 (four) Gauge Cluster, and the LCD illumination bulbs are serviceable.
