Charging System Warning Indicator
This indicator is located in the Volt Gauge. The non- serviceable LED is hardwired to the MIC. The cluster will illuminate the indicator when the appropriate PCI bus message is received indicating a Charging System High or Charging System Voltage Failure has occurred.
The full scale of the Volt Gauge is 10 to 18 volts. When the cluster receives a bus message indicating the voltage has reached a Voltage Low condition (10 volts), the cluster will move the gauge pointer to the appropriate position, illuminate the warning indicator, and request a single chime. When the voltage reading falls at or above the Voltage Low point, the cluster will turn OFF the warning indicator.
When the cluster receives a bus message indicating the voltage at or above the Voltage High point (16 volts), the cluster will move the pointer to the appropriate position, illuminate the indicator, and request a single chime. When the voltage reading falls at or below the Voltage High point, the cluster will turn OFF the indicator.
