Brake Drag (Rear Only)

  1. Check parking brake cables for binding or freezing. Check the cable routing. Replace cables as necessary.
  2. Check parking brake cable return spring or for shoes not returning. Replace the cables as necessary.
  3. Service brakes not adjusted properly (rear drum brakes only). Adjust rear brake shoes. See ADJUSTMENTS .
  4. Check for an obstruction inside the center console preventing full return of the parking brake cables. Remove the console and remove obstruction.
