Hub & Bearing Assembly: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove hub nut and hub washer. Remove ABS wheel speed sensor, if equipped. Remove brake caliper and rotor.
  2. Remove hub and bearing assembly mounting bolts from rear of steering knuckle. See Figure. Slide hub and bearing assembly off CV axle shaft splines. Inspect steering knuckle grease seal and hub and bearing assembly for excessive wear and damage. Replace components as necessary.
