A/C Heater Control: Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The heating and A/C system uses electrical controls. These controls provide the vehicle operator with a number of setting options to help control the climate and comfort within the vehicle.
The single zone A/C-heater control ( Fig 1 ) contains a rotary-type temperature control switch, a rotary-type mode control switch and a rotary-type blower motor speed switch. The A/C-heater control also has a push button to activate the optional heated side view mirror defroster elements and to turn the A/C on.
The A/C-heater control panel cannot be repaired. If faulty or damaged, the entire unit must be replaced. The illumination lamps are available for service replacement.
