Maximum Heater Output: Test And Action: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Engine coolant is provided to the heater system by two heater hoses. With engine idling at normal operating temperature, set the temperature control to maximum heat, the mode control to floor position, and blower in the highest speed position. Using a test thermometer, check the temperature of the air being discharged coming from the floor outlets. Compare the test thermometer readings to the Temperature Reference chart.
